With all the busyness going on with Thanksgiving, to Christmas, to New Years, it’s easy to forget what life is really about. Sometimes we get lost in all the cooking and gift buying that we lose track of how others are in need. And sometimes we forget how to really give from the heart, whether that be a smile, a hug, etc.

I saw a gif of this in my timeline and I had to figure out what it was from. I searched the interweb and this is what I came up with.

This little girl cuts her hair because her brother has cancer. When he arrives at home she has it bundled in her shirt to give to him.

I believe this little girls giving can teach us how to live selflessly. She did whatever she had to do to put a smile on her brother’s face, and as a race of people, and of women, we have to remember sometimes that to make someone smile could be the greatest gift of all.
